Nely Reguera

Nely Reguera (Barcelona, Spain) graduated from ESCAC. After a time working as assistant director, in 2009 she directed the short film Pablo, selected and awarded at festivals such as Alcine, Gijón, Huesca, Mecal or the Versión Española- SGAE Contest. Her debut feature Maria (and the Others) premiered at the 2016 San Sebastian Film Festival (Special Jury Mention – New Directors). It won the Best Ibero-American Feature Film Award at Miami Film Festival and it obtained two Goya nominations (Best New Director and Best Actress). The Volunteer (2022) is her second feature
